Bopath Ella

Yet another wonderful waterfall, Bopath Ella with a height of 30m, is situated on the Kuru Ganga. The name Bopath is derived from Bo – the ficus religiosa, the sacred tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment - and from Pata – which means “leaf.” This is because this waterfall has three cascades that gives the appearance of the shape of the leaf of the Bo tree.

Bambarakanda waterfall

TheThis fall, due to its sheer drop of 241m, is the highest in the whole of Sri Lanka. Set amid an evergreen forest, it is formed by the Uduweriya Haputale mountains' Kuda Oya (river), a tributary of the Walawe River. It cascades in a torrent (especially in the wet season) from a rocky outcrop into a deep, basin-like pool. To the left of the fall, centuries of wind and rain have formed what is said to resemble two embracing lovers out of the rock.

 Diyaluma Ella

Not only is the Diyaluma Waterfalls known as the third highest falls in sri lanka it has also earned the recognition of being the country's most beautiful falls as well. This distinction was earned due to several factors. First is its height of 171 meters. Second, the rocks that break the water give a beautifying effect to the falls; combine this with the wind and it gives an angelic-like effect. Another factor is the huge amount of water coming down from the top of the fall

Dunhinda Ella

Found about ten kilometers from Badulla town proper and about a kilometer walk from the main road is Dunhinda Waterfalls. While going to the actual falls, you will first see a smaller version of the falls. Once you get to the main falls, you will find this beautiful natural sight that comes from Badulu River
